The article I read was about Microsoft's new operating system, Windows Vista. It is the long awaited successor to Windows XP and includes many new features. The new OS is much more user friendly and includes features such as instant search, a tool much faster than the current search feature on XP. Other new features include Flip 3D, which enables users to cycle through their windows in 3D roledex. Also a major update in Vista is an enhanced security system. Microsoft says that Vista is the most secure OS on the market and security updates will be much more regular and simple than in XP. Vista is $199 as an upgrade to XP up to $399 depending on the edition you choose.

March madness is coming up soon and a division of CBS is giving students or fans an oppertunity to create video clips, in support of a team or to insult another.CBS intends to makes these videos accessible on websites such YouTube and MySpace with hopes that they will intensify the experince of the extraveganza. The CSTV Networks are asking the question “Are you fan enough?,” tempting veiwers to create and upload the do-it-yourself video clips to a community section of the CSTV Web site. The company is capatalizing on the eagnerness of America's youth to share videos on MySpace and YouTube. CBS hopes this will bring more annention to the sporting event. I think this is a good idea, and it doesnt hurt to instigate some competition among fans, after all team spirit is alot of the fun of watching a game.

I read Judge: Google Can Block Ads. Google can now block any advertisements they choose to. Google now has the same rights as a newspaper. This will save google time and frustration. They can now reject any add that they do not want to be present. I believe this is a good thing because now inappropriate ads will not be shown if Google doesn’t want them there.

The article I will talk about deals with apple advancing its technology once again. They are coming out with wireless routers that use 802.11n. According to Apple this offers five times the speed and twice the speed of anything they have ever come out with. Wth this you can add a USB drive to your airport base station, creating alot of storage space for people around you to access. The reason it took apple so long to put out their new invention because they tested in so many different ways so they wouldnt but out something that doesnt work to perfection. Now apple has not only advanced the wireless world, but made it much easier for home networks.

The article that i read was from howstuffworks.com that is about GPS and how they work. GPS stands for Global Positiioning System that is usually used in cars to help find your way around the streets. these powered satelites will approx travel 2 full rotations a day. There are about 4 satelites that are visible to the human eye.GPS are known to read the stars in the sky. GPS are used in everyday technology and are very important to us today.

The article that i read was on CompUSA closing 126 of its stores. The store is owned by Carlos Slim. Slim is the third richest man in the world. The reason for closing over half of its stores is so that they can focus on their top performing locations. CompUSA started last week by closing 2 stores in california, 1 in texas, and 1 in illinois. They would receive a 440 million dollar cash infusion but the source of the cash is unknown. The store CompUSA competes with stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City.

I read an article about the new Playstation 3. Most people are complaining about the lack of games ps3 has and the price of the console. The thing they need to remember is that it's a new system and it's just getting started. The price will eventually go down and when they do start making games for ps3, it will be the best system out.

The article I read informed me of the recent launch of Japanese spy satellite. The Japanese began work on the satellites in 1998 after a missle scare. There had been previous launches made, but none of them were successful. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stated that he "welcomes the success of the launch" and " hope Japan's space program will mark results that are appropriate for a leading nation in space." The Japanese plan on sending another round of spy satellites into space in 2009 after the current satellites run out of juice.

In The Artical I read The Mac OS shows us how to get to the menu bar with out even haveing to touch the mouse. Now all you have to do is press contol-F2, press return and the apple menu pops up. Then you can use the right arrows to move to other things in the menu folder such as file, finder, edit, view, etc. and the left arrow to move back. It is a fater and more efficient way to have things get done.

I ready the article talking about the cameras that insurance companies are placing in teens cars. This way parents will be able to monitor their childs habits while driving. The camera will record for 10 seconds after a major event. An event could include speeding very fast, stopping fast among others. The goal is to encourage teens to drive safely. The insurace companies think that new police speeding cameras and laws are worthless. I personally dont like the idea of a camera or speeding cameras.

I read an article about how GPS works. It was developed by the U.S. military and used as a military navigation system, but later was available for everyone to use. It's a lot more complicated than one would actually think. There are many satellites and each one of them contains a really expensive atomic clock, but the receiver itself uses an ordinary quartz clock, "which it constantly resets. The receiver looks at incoming signals from four or more satellites and gauges its own inaccuracy."
When you measure the distance to four different satellites, you can draw four spheres that all intersect at one point. Three spheres will intersect even if your numbers are inaccurate, "but four spheres will not intersect at one point if you've measured incorrectly."
"The receiver can easily calculate the necessary adjustment that will cause the four spheres to intersect at one point. Based on this, it resets its clock to be in sync with the satellite's atomic clock. The receiver does this constantly whenever it's on, which means it is nearly as accurate as the expensive atomic clocks in the satellites. The GPS receiver simply stores an almanac that tells it where every satellite should be at any given time." I think this is really interesting yet really confusing as to how a GPS works.

This article is very interesting becuase I never knew how GPS systems really worked. There are satelites up in space that tell the car where to drive and that pinpoint its exact location on earth. It is cool that there are satelites up in the sky deigned to only help cars with GPS systems inside of them. When you turn on your GPS it connects with the satelite in space to get accurate maps of the earth. Now I know how my GPS system works.

The media has constantly been reporting on the Anna Nicole Tragedy. The young women at the age of 40 past away a couple of weeks ago. Some speculate that it was drugs or possibly depression from the death of her son. The preliminary tests apparently showed that she suffered from pnemonia and that the drugs only entensified her symptoms. I don't think this woman should be getting so much press time because the family need time, privacy, and space, to grieve over their tragic lost.

the article that i read was very intresting it was about how they have created a robot that teaches itself how to do human things like walk, run, talk and the robot name is dexter, he learns by analysing 20,000 action a second.I think it is very cool how technology has change over the years by creating cool things like a robot that does human things .

The article I read was called "Verizon Wireless kicks off Mobile TV." This article talks about the new service Verizon Wireless offers, which allows Verizon subscribers to to view eight full lenght channels that run twenty- four hours a day for 15 dollar a month. The music and televsion services have run slow because of the pricing and the quality of the services. But this new service supposedly is as clear as a regular television set and twice as clear as the latest Vcast service. They offer subscribers mobile internet acces for five dollars, Vcast for fifteen dollars a month, and MediaFlo (new TV servisce) for twenty-five dollars, which is ten dollars less then if you bought the three seperately. This service offers channels from MTV to Nickelodeon. I believe this service will be successful because the they have upgraded the quality of the picture and it is cheaper, which might grab subscibers attention.

PS3 upscales dvd playback. Sony prggramers made it so it plays dvds in better viewing. Since PS3 can already play dvds with the new blueray technology in 1080ip HD resolusion it plays very clear. Since I own a ps3 i think it is pretty cool after seeing already how good the graphics are and Im excited about what else they are coming up with.

The Article I read was about how the U.S. immigration reform bill could pass by july. Howard Berman, a Democrat from California made the prediction during the first Tech Industry Summit in San Jose, California. It said this bill deals mainly with the 12 million immigrants living in the U.S. living and working but it also effects technology companies. The immigrants are coming to the U.S. to get their degrees and then leaving back to their foreign country to work which is depriving U.S. companies of hiring them

The article I choose was about the new motorola Krzr. It receive a 7.3 out of 10 on CNET's reviews. The phone's style is selling more than its features. The preformance is slow and the pixels for the camera are not as impressive as one might of thought. Touch sensitive music controls, are sleek and is the newest technology on the phone. In all i want to get this phone mainly because of its looks. To me it does'nt matter that much that it is the best phone. But, that it looks sleek

I read an article about the world's largest hard drive maker,Seagate Technology (LLC). This company has just started to manufacture and sell laptops with encryption technology. This new hard drive disks are very secure and make it very hard for anyone to hack in to your laptop. These new hard drives will be very popular with companies and bussinesses because if laptops are stolen or lost they can be sure that no one can access private information.

The Zune:
One of Microsoft's newest inventions, the Zune, is Microsoft's response to the very popular Apple Ipod. Very much like the Ipod, the Zune can now hold mass amounts of the latest songs, music videos, and newly it has an FM radio built in. A new feat that the Zune offers of the ability to share music wirelessly from Zune to Zune. The Zune seems like a great new invention and will most likely become one of the top products on the market today.

I read an article about what some of the computer experts are calling the next Sillicon Valley, Siberia. Siberia is located in Russia has an area downtown called Sillicon Forest where Private High Tech has increased from a $10 million business 10 years ago, to a small industry of $150 million with the firms growing fifteen percent every year. It started in 1958, when then Communist leader Nikita Krushcev devoted a city entirely for science.President Putin, Russia's president, has funded over $650 million dollars for construction of Sillicon Forest.

I think the article I decided to read about cells phone usage was very interesting and informing. My grandmother was the first one to inform me about the risk of getting cancer from cell phone usage (this would be a scary thought being that I'm on my cell phone 24/7. A study by T-Mobile revealed that there is a higher risk for cell phone users. T-Mobile studies suggest that the emission from cell phones should be cut 1/1000th of what it is now. The Uk's Human Ecological Social Economic project also did a study. An alternate to listening directly into the phone is to use an earpiece (i.e. bluetooth)
