I am glad that the people who bought Tower Records are not caving in and turning it into a mp3 store. It is rare these days that people actually buy records, and I think that it would be a great thing for the industry, and a possible revival of the idea of actually buying an artists music. Though music stores still exist, most of them are pretty limited simply because the demand is not as high as it used to be. Sometimes you are lucky if the CD you want is in stock at a music store. Having a store dedicated simply to buying records is something that the music industry needs, and hopefully the new people of Tower Records take some of the attention away from mp3 purchases.
